New York, NY — Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. (YAP), an organization with 2,300 employees headquartered in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and serving 12,000 families annually across 18 states has chosen Defran Systems' Evolv-CS Enterprise Edition as its electronic health record (EHR) system.
YAP had very clear goals for what the EHR should help the agency achieve. Of chief concern was having a single point of entry for data that would streamline processes for greater efficiency and cost reduction. The system would also have to be compliant with the new EHR certification requirements, have the flexibility to handle the agency's modifications and be capable of sophisticated financial reporting. A final requirement was that the system be truly Web-based and not reliant upon Citrix or Terminal Services architectures. YAP chose Evolv-CS because it met all of their requirements. "We were very impressed with the Evolv-CS time and attendance module which seems fully capable of meeting our needs." commented Cliff Kubiak, Chief Information Officer for YAP.
YAP began its search for an EHR in 2009 by inviting eight vendors to respond to a request for proposal (RFP). After the initial round of demonstrations, Defran Systems, along with two of the industry's most well-known vendors, were considered for a more comprehensive evaluation. An enthusiastic Mr. Kubiak said, "The discussions with Defran's implementation team were very productive.
