Sarasota, Fla. – UNI/CARE Systems, Inc. announced today that its Pro-Filer 2011 has earned premarket and conditional certifications for ambulatory and behavioral health electronic health record (EHR) from the Certification Commission for Health Information Technology (CCHIT). The dual certification demonstrates that the company's Pro-Filer 2011 has been inspected against rigorous criteria independently developed by the commission’s expert work groups. The inspection criteria cover integrated functionality, interoperability (CCD) and security. CCHIT's inspection process is based on real life healthcare scenarios designed to test products rigorously against the complex needs of healthcare providers. As part of the process, successful use is verified at live sites. Premarket and conditionally certified EHRs are products that are fully certified once their operational use at two healthcare delivery sites have been verified. The commission is an independent, 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with the public mission of accelerating the adoption of robust, interoperable health information technology.
