New Hope Treatment Centers, Charleston, S.C., and Carolina Choice, LLC, New Bern, N.C., have joined forces to provide a continuum of behavioral health services for the state of North Carolina.

New Hope Treatment Centers operates New Hope Carolinas, Inc., a North Carolina border area Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF) for children and their families. New Hope Carolinas is Joint Commission accredited and provides onsite education through its AdvanceEd accredited school.

Carolina Choice, LLC, is Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) accredited and provides Therapeutic Foster Care, Intensive In-Home Services, Day Treatment, Targeted Case Management, Medication Management, and Outpatient Individual, Group and Family Therapy in eastern North Carolina.

This partnership will provide youth and their families access to high quality mental health services and a greater continuity of care through its array of community-based and inpatient (PRTF) services.

“We’re thrilled to partner with Carolina Choice, LLC because of their commitment to provide excellent care to youth and their families,” said Eric Baumgartner, COO of New Hope Treatment Centers. “In addition, combining our resources means we can provide an even greater array of services to youth and families in need.”

New Hope Treatment Centers and Carolina Choice, LLC were founded by clinicians: Dr. George Orvin founded New Hope Treatment Centers more than 25 years ago; Marsha Butler founded Carolina Choice more than 10 years ago. Both entities are still managed by the Orvin and Butler families, respectively.
