This week, Summit BHC announced the acquisition of The Ranch at Dove Tree (RDT), a collegiate-focused addiction and behavioral health treatment center in Lubbock, Texas. The acquisition marks Summit’s second facility in the state in addition to Great Oaks Recovery Center located outside of Houston.

Founded in 2002, The Ranch has an established collaboration with Texas Tech University’s Institute for the Study of Addiction, Recovery & Families. Its continuum of care includes state-licensed detoxification, collegiate residential treatment, adult residential treatment, collegiate transitional living and outpatient programs. The residential treatment programs offer a facility for up to 56 collegiate aged students and other adults with addiction and co-occurring mental health problems, including trauma and disordered eating. Participants in the Partial Care Program receive an average of 25 hours of counseling per week.

“As a company we were drawn to The Ranch at Dove Tree for their distinctively unique continuum of care, their collaborative relationship with Texas Tech and, most importantly, the quality and dedication of the employees of RDT in the services they provide,” stated Jeff Barnett, COO of Summit, in a statement.
