The not-for-profit Spectrum Health Systems has opened New England Recovery Center, a 36-bed private residential substance abuse treatment facility in Westborough, Mass. The center will provide onsite detoxification and inpatient treatment with a focus on opiate addiction recovery.

Charles Faris, president and CEO of Spectrum, said in a statement that the demand for addiction treatment beds is considerable in the New England area. With a 45-year history, Spectrum now adds another property to its portfolio that offers a combined 125 programs in seven states.

The New England Recovery Center facility provides an intimate and individualized setting for treatment and will offer clients amenities including yoga and meditation classes, massage therapy and personal training. The program includes individual and group therapy as well as continuing care planning and family engagement.
