The Software and Technology Vendors Association (SATVA) elected a new Board of  Directors and slate of Executive Officers starting July 1, 2013.

Joe Viger, Vice President of Business Development at The Echo Group, was elected to the role of Chair; Marlowe Greenberg, CEO of Foothold Technology, will serve as Vice-Chair; Ravi Ganesan, President of Core Solutions, will serve as Treasurer; and Brad Ewalt, CEO of Claimtrak Systems, will serve as Secretary.

Also serving on the board are Members-at-Large John Leipold COO, Valley Hope Association, Information Management; Fran Loshin-Turso, Senior Vice President, Netsmart; and Melinda Wagner, General Manager Behavioral Health and Rehab, for Cerner Corporation.

"The past year was an exciting one for SATVA," said Board President Joe Viger, "Our group contributed many educational sessions to the behavioral health community on information technology and electronic health record related topics. Additionally, the SATVA Membership completed a pilot project and draft of an implementation guide for the Data Segmentation for Privacy initiative. This important initiative will help to ensure electronic healthcare communications are compliant with applicable privacy laws.  I look forward to working with our board and membership to continue to advance the use of technology in behavioral healthcare."
