Qualifacts Systems has announced that 100 behavioral health providers have successfully implemented the company’s electronic health record (EHR). Pine Rest, one of five largest free-standing behavioral health providers in the U.S., is the 100th organization to go-live on CareLogic Enterprise.

The sheer size of Pine Rest—the largest behavioral health outpatient program in the country with 250,000 patient visits per year and over 200 clinicians in 20 locations—promised to bring a certain complexity to the project, but early signs point to the success of the implementation.

“Some of our workers are already telling us that CareLogic is making their jobs easier,” says Bill Johnson, director of information systems for Pine Rest. “The new system is a significant cultural change, but word is getting out that it’s a good thing.”

Bob Nykamp, vice president and chief operations officer for Pine Rest continues, “The partnership with Qualifacts has given us a great deal of confidence in our success with our new EHR. The implementation team has demonstrated their commitment time and again by stepping up to the plate to truly understand and meet our complex needs.”

This milestone reflects Qualifacts’ commitment to helping providers successfully implement a certified enterprise EHR. The company completed 43 implementation projects in 2011 alone, in an average of six months from kick-off to go-live.

“Less than a year ago, we signed our 100th customer, but that number is meaningless unless we are able to successfully implement these organizations,” said David Klements, president and CEO of Qualifacts. “Industry leaders like Pine Rest know that they can only start to realize the advantages of an enterprise EHR once they are fully implemented. With healthcare moving so quickly, providers can no longer afford to take two years to make this happen.”

Klements concludes, “We couldn’t be more pleased with our growth and with our customers’ successes. Our product and implementation model is one of continuous evolution and improvement, and the more users on our platform, the smarter our solution becomes – to the benefit of all of our customers.”
