Qualifacts Systems, Inc. announced today that it has been selected by Astor Services for Children & Families as its electronic health records vendor. Astor Services is community-based, non-profit organization that provides a variety of education and mental health services for children in the Mid-Hudson Valley region and the Bronx. The organization is Qualifacts’ first customer in New York.

Qualifacts’ web-based EHR, CareLogic Enterprise, will help Astor coordinate services at its 30 sites where it serves several thousand children and their families every year.

“After one on-site demonstration of the CareLogic product, we knew it was the product for our team,” says James McGuirk, Ph.D, executive director and CEO for Astor. “It became increasingly clear to us that the CareLogic clinical components were the best and most intuitive workflows that we had seen on the market.  I can understand why a very high percentage of CareLogic customers realize clinical productivity gains after implementing the system.

“We were also very impressed by the incredible flexibility of the system to adapt to the large and diverse programs that we offer,” McGuirk continues.  “Simply put, we believe the product will grow and adapt with us, and this was a very important consideration where change will be the norm in healthcare delivery over the next several years.”

“We are very excited to be entering the New York market with such a reputable and well-managed organization like Astor,” said David Klements, president and CEO of Qualifacts. “Qualifacts has a proven model of entering new states and building a strong statewide user community in short order.”
