READING, Pa. — Haven Behavioral Hospital of Eastern Pennsylvania has named John G. Robison as the chief executive officer (CEO). Having spent the past 20 years in health care operations and behavioral healthcare management, Robison will formulate business strategies as CEO and provide overall direction to the hospital and its staff.

"I'm honored to be a part of a hospital that is dedicated to providing excellent psychiatric care to patients from Berks County," said Robison. "We're committed to this community by providing safe and professional care of patients with mental health needs."

Haven Behavioral Hospital opened in September and operates within the downtown campus of St. Joseph Medical Center. It offers services for adults suffering from schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression and anxiety disorders. There are 28 inpatient acute beds as well as a partial hospital program.

Robison earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Delaware, a Master of Science from Shippensburg University, and a Masters of Business Administration from York College of Pennsylvania.

"Haven's philosophy is to treat the 'whole' person by addressing our patients' psychiatric, physical and emotional needs while including the people that are most important in their life," Robison added.
