Acadia this week announced the opening of a residential treatment center in South Boston, Va. The 64-bed Southstone Behavioral Health opened late in the first quarter of the year. The opening of Southstone follows the launch of another new Acadia facility, Conway Behavioral Health in Conway, Ark., which opened in December 2017.

Acadia, which reported a 3.1% revenue increase in the quarter ending Dec. 31, compared to the same period a year prior, announced in a release that it plans to open three additional facilities this year:

  • An 88-bed acute inpatient facility through its joint venture with Erlanger Health System in Chattanooga, Tenn.
  • An 80-bed acute inpatient facility in El Paso, Texas
  • An 80-bed acute inpatient facility in conjunction with Mount Carmel Health System in Columbus, Ohio

The Treatment Center Executive & Marketing Retreat provides CEOs, CFOs, COOs, directors, senior marketing/business development/admissions leaders, and other executives with the tools they need to effectively and ethically grow their services in a rapidly changing market.
