Private equity firm Kohlberg & Co. has agreed to acquire the Meadows, with treatment centers located in Arizona that offer inpatient, outpatient and intensive outpatient levels of care. The private equity firm also has majority ownership of Sunspire Health.

According to Dow Jones, the deal is valued at around $180 million.

Accredited by Joint Commission, the Meadows treats addictions and mental health disorders, including trauma and process addictions. It also features the Claudia Black Young Adult Center inpatient treatment program for young adults ages 18 to 26 with unresolved trauma, addictions or other concerns. It’s largely a private-pay program but does accept some insurance.

Since 2006, the Meadows has been with American Capital, a publicly traded private equity firm and global asset manager.
