Hill joins Alliance as new CEO

Baltimore, Md. — Alliance, Inc., a non-profit community-based provider of behavioral health treatment and rehabilitation services, announced it has appointed John Hill as new CEO. Hill joins Alliance with extensive experience in the healthcare industry, including multiple executive management capacities. Most recently, Hill served as CEO and director for Comprehensive Care Corp. in St. Petersburg, Fla.

"John brings a wealth of experience in health care administration positions and a strong commitment to ensuring highly-effective services in the community for people with a range of mental health challenges and other disabilities," said Charlotte Exner, PhD, chair of Alliance's board of directors. "As a strong advocate for a recovery-based approach to health care, John will be a tremendous asset to Alliance. The board of directors and Alliance staff are delighted to have him aboard."

A native of Baltimore, Hill completed his undergraduate degree in psychology at Towson University and went on to pursue graduate education in social work and health administration at the University of Maryland and Johns Hopkins University. He began his career as a mental health worker at Sheppard Pratt Hospital, where he also developed a transitional employment program for patients. John then began a 14-year career with American Psychmanagement which eventually became ValueOptions, one of the country's leading managed behavioral health organizations.

During his tenure, Hill served as chief operating officer with oversight of multiple corporate functions. He successfully developed and managed a company-wide strategic consolidation plan and oversaw commercial and Medicaid behavioral and pharmacy programs in Puerto Rico and the United States. John is a veteran of the United States Army and served honorably in Vietnam from 1969-1971.
