Center City, Minn. — Hazelden Publishing announced that it has entered into a multi-year print sales and distribution agreement with Perseus Distribution, covering the U.S. and Canada. Perseus will also be handling foreign rights for Hazelden as part of the agreement. The agreement goes into effect on Jan. 1, 2012.

Hazelden, publisher of the path-breaking, eight million-plus copy best-seller, Twenty-Four Hours a Day and Melody Beattie’s international best-seller, Codependent No More, has been publishing in the fields of recovery, inspiration, and self-help for over 55 years.

“We at Hazelden Publishing are so pleased to be partnering with Perseus, a leading distributor, as we continue to expand our trade list and offer consumers more notable experts, authors, and inspirational books,” said Nick Motu, publisher and vice president of Marketing and Communications at Hazelden.

“Hazelden’s work with addiction and 12-Step recovery has been the standard bearer for decades,” Sabrina McCarthy, vice president Client Services for Perseus Distribution added. “We’re honored to be working with them to continue to share their knowledge, help and inspiration with those in need of it.”

“We’re gratified that as a leader in its field, Hazelden has chosen Perseus Distribution to fulfill its print distribution needs,” David Steinberger, president and CEO of The Perseus Books Group said.
