Hazelden has named Jana Olslund as vice president of development. Olslund, a fundraising executive with expertise in nonprofit healthcare, education, and youth-oriented social service agencies, served most recently as vice president and chief development officer for Planned Parenthood Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota.

As Hazelden's principal philanthropy strategist, Olslund will oversee the organization's capital and endowment campaigns, annual giving, donor and board engagement, and major and planned gifts.

"Jana's expertise in progressive and strategic fundraising and social engagement will greatly enhance Hazelden's ability to further grow and transform our services and resources so that we can help exponentially more people find lasting freedom from addiction," notes Mark G. Mishek, Hazelden president and CEO.

Olslund's educational background includes a juris doctorate from Creighton University Law School, with concentrations in dispute resolution and estate planning. She holds a bachelor of science degree in political science, with a minor in business administration, from North Dakota State University. She is a certified mediator and is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy, the American College of Healthcare Executives, and the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
