Summit BHC has acquired not-for-profit English Mountain Recovery, representing Summit’s first entry into Tennessee. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The deal adds a 36-bed addiction treatment center to Summit’s portfolio, bringing its total number of facilities to 11.  Additionally, Summit now owns and operates addiction treatment centers in eight states.

English Mountain Recovery is located on a 27-acre campus near Knoxville, Tenn. Its primary residential and extended care program combines the traditional 12-Step approach with a variety of treatment therapies to include equine, experiential, creative arts, music and relapse prevention. The facility is licensed and accredited by CARF.
