Meridian acquires acute psych hospital

Meridian Behavioral Health announced it has acquired an acute psychiatric hospital located in Grand Forks, N.D. The facility will be rebranded as Red River Behavioral Health System.

CEO John Baker and Medical Director Bradford Frank, MD, will continue to manage the hospital, one of only three facilities in the state that offers acute psychiatric services. Populations served include adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.

Prior to the acquisition, Meridian’s portfolio included 21 campuses including inpatient/psychiatric, residential, outpatient and medication-assisted treatment located throughout the Minnesota.
