Behavioral Health Group, LLC (BHG) announced the acquisition of two addiction treatment programs in Chesapeake and Virginia Beach, Virginia, previously owned by Affinity Health Group. It’s the organization’s first entry into the state.

BHG’s network now includes 37 locations. The clinical approach includes behavioral therapy and medication-assisted treatment, and centers are accredited by Joint Commission.

In a statement, Dwight Mussleman, chief development officer, said the deal is the next step in national expansion plans. Earlier this year, the company added two addiction treatment programs in Spartanburg and Aiken, S.C., to its portfolio.
