Targeted to support primary care and behavioral health services operating in the new integrated healthcare service environments, SAMHSA-HRSA’s Center for Integrated Health Solutions(CIHS) now offers downloadable Interim Billing and Financial Worksheets. The customized worksheets, which are state-specific, help providers identify existing billing opportunities, as well as areas of focus for potential changes to state policy in those states with identified codes qualifying for reimbursements,

The Interim Billing Worksheets identify the core set of CPTcodes that are used to bill for specific bidirectional health and wellness services provided by Federally Qualified Health Centers(FQHCs) and/or community behavioral health organizations and  link them to state-specific diagnostic codes and related professional credentials to support more accurate billing. Ultimately, the goal is to strengthen the financial viability of the new care model.

Although private companies can use the worksheets for billing and reimbursement, CIHS counsels providers to contact the commercial insurance companies to determine what services are covered.
