About two weeks after acquiring a treatment center in New Jersey, Elements Behavioral Health has opened Brightwater Landing, a new facility in Lancaster County in southeastern Pennsylvania.

Brightwater Landing provides a blend of traditional, experiential and adventure-based therapies for individuals with substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders. Company officials say it includes a wide array of therapies, and upscale amenities. During their stay, clients reside in cottages with a maximum of 10 individuals in each.

"At Brightwater Landing, our clinical focus is on trauma and underlying issues that drive addiction—distinguishing it from many treatment centers in the region," said Executive Director Lori DeVirgilio, a press release.

Programs at Brightwater Landing treatment center include:

  • Onsite medical detox  with research-backed medications;
  • Co-occurring disorders treatment; and
  • Addiction treatment with an emphasis on hands-on learning through experiential therapies and long-term recovery.

"We believe that the Brightwater Landing facility's inspirational setting combined with a team of specially trained clinicians and the use of traditional, medical, adventure-based and experiential therapeutic approaches will offer a transformational treatment option for those struggling with addiction and co-occurring disorders," said Dr. David Sack, CEO of Elements Behavioral Health, in a press release.

Professionals in the surrounding regions are invited to an open house January 23, 2015, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
