CRC Health Group, provider of behavioral health and addiction treatment services, has announced the appointment of Vicki Berkus, MD, Ph.D., CEDS, to the dual role of Clinical Director of Eating Disorder Programs for CRC's network and Medical Director for Eating Disorder Treatment at its Sierra Tucson facility.

In her CRC role, Dr. Berkus will lead the integration of all five of CRC's nationwide eating disorder treatment programs to develop a coordinated continuum of services. CRC's eating disorder treatment network includes Carolina House (Durham, NC), Center for Hope of the Sierras (Reno, NV), Montecatini (Carlsbad, CA), The Victorian (Newport Beach, CA), and Sierra Tucson (Tucson, AZ).

In her role for Sierra Tucson, Dr. Berkus will have primary responsibility for the enhancement and oversight of the eating disorder treatment program.

"We are very pleased that Dr. Berkus will be leading our national network of outstanding eating disorder treatment programs," said Candance Henderson-Grice, MS, President, Healthy Living Division for CRC Health Group. "Vicki is a pioneer in this field with a phenomenal depth of knowledge and understanding for treating patients with eating disorders. She will be a true asset to our programs, our staff and most importantly our patients."

"Coming back to Sierra Tucson is like coming home," said Dr. Berkus. "It is a pleasure to see so many familiar faces and receive the warm welcome and support. I am looking forward to implementing new ideas into the eating disorders program and working with a dedicated team of professionals!"
