Decorative light panels

USA Skypanels, Inc., has released its newest addition in decorative light diffusers—the Jacaranda Tree, Skypanels’ ninth design. Skypanels are a decorative line of light diffuser panels that fit into standard fluorescent ceiling fixtures in most healthcare facilities and commercial offices. Skypanels have nature scenes to give a feeling of being outdoors and they can be ordered individually or as a set. Easy to install and weighing 1.75 lbs, Skypanels can be cut to fit any ceiling space. They are made from 100% acrylic with the images screen printed directly onto the panels.

NIATx summit and SAAS conference

NIATx and the

State Associations of Addiction Services (SAAS) have teamed up for the

2009 NIATx Summit and SAAS National Conference, July 29 - August 1. The conference will be at the JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort & Spa in Tucson. The preconference will be on July 29. (Additional registration is required for these half-day and full-day workshops). Conference keynoters include Laura Adams, H. Westley Clark, MD, JD, MPH, CAS, FASAM, Timothy P. Condon, PhD, David H. Gustafson PhD, Stephen K. Hacker, and Brenda Reiss-Brennan, MS, APRN, CS.

Medication surveillance program
Inflexxion, Inc., creates behavioral health solutions for prevention, education, and disease management. It recently announced the publication of National Addictions Vigilance Intervention and Prevention Program (NAVIPPRO): A real-time, product-specific, public health surveillance system for monitoring prescription drug abuse by Stephen F. Butler, Simon H. Budman, Andrea Licari, et al, in the December 2008 issue of Pharmacoepidemiology and Drug Safety. The study evaluates a core component of NAVIPPRO, a comprehensive risk management program for post-marketing surveillance of Schedule II and III medications. The program actively monitors indicators of adverse drug events, such as an emerging trend of abuse.

Askesis unveils PsychConsult Provider 6.0

Askesis Development Group, Inc., providing software to the behavioral healthcare, addiction treatment, and social services markets, has introduced PsychConsult Provider 6.0. New and enhanced features focused on creating a completely paperless environment with tools supporting clinical work flows, a comprehensive electronic medical record (EMR), and streamlined revenue cycle management. The software includes bed and census management, physician order entry, electronic medication administration record (eMAR) fully integrated with medication orders and schedules, and an interoperability engine supporting HL7 messaging.
