Advanced Recovery Systems announced it is now an in-network provider with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida, also known as Florida Blue, at its three Florida facilities. Eligible clients will now be able to use Florida Blue in-network benefits for the treatment of substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders at The Recovery Village Umatilla, Orlando Recovery Center and Next Generation Village in Sebring.

As more treatment centers go in-network, the deal with Florida Blue is part of a broader strategy for Advanced Recovery Systems (ARS). The company previously signed deals with insurers Cigna and Humana in Florida, and ARS Vice President of Business Development Allison Walsh tells Behavioral Healthcare Executive that the company is working to engage other insurers as well.

“Blue Cross Blue Shield was something we’ve been working towards for a long time now. We’re thrilled that they’re now one of the groups we can work with,” Walsh says. “We’re hopeful we can be in-network with as many insurance companies as possible.”
