Caron purchases young adult IOP

This week, Caron Treatment Centers announced an agreement to acquire Solutions Atlanta, an intensive outpatient program for adolescents and young adults, based in Roswell, Ga.

According to Caron officials, expansion in Atlanta is a priority in its growth strategy. Nancy Zintak, Caron’s regional vice president in Atlanta, will be based at the Solutions facility. Caron already offers two local support groups and community events in the area.

“Caron’s growth in the Atlanta market is an opportunity for us to expand our adolescent and young adult referral base,” Lisa Marsilio, executive vice president and chief operating officer, tells Behavioral Healthcare.

At Solutions, teens and young adults to receive addiction treatment while still living at home and attending school or work. The program includes group therapy several times a week as well as 25 hours of school or work every week. Random drug screens are utilized on a weekly basis.

Founder Robert Margolis will continue to be responsible for the day to day clinical oversight of the facility under Caron’s management.
