Anasazi Software founder and CEO, Michael Morris, will present a cutting edge concept for providing Meaningful Use Stage 2 interoperability of ultra-sensitive disclosures.  While HIEs and RHIOs currently meet HIPAA guidelines for privacy, this new model moves past that and discusses how you can meet the more stringent legal requirements of ultra-sensitive interoperability such as those for the 42 CFR Part 2 federal regulations for substance abuse.

This concept, which has been featured at conferences across the country, allows a provider organization to securely communicate provider to provider, provider to HIE/RHIO, provider to ACO, to a Personal Health Record and within many other exchange permutations.

Since this type of interoperability will be required to meet Stage 2 Meaningful Use, providers need to start planning today for supporting ultra-sensitive disclosures.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understanding Stage 2 Meaningful Use Requirements of data exchange
  • Learning differences between HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 compliance
  • Finding out how RHIOs will be moving towards CCD use
  • Understanding how to electronically manage consents and disclosures
