Core Solutions, a provider of electronic health record (EHR) solutions for the behavioral health and human services industry, announced that its Cx360 Provider EHR solution has been chosen as the platform to support the Turning Point Health Information Technology Project, a project funded by the US Department of Human Services, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).

Turning Point, an addiction treatment program in northeastern New Jersey has embarked upon a project to expand the use of health information technology to improve access to and outcomes from its addiction treatment programs and services.

Turning Point’s implementation of Cx360 will be integrated with NJ SAMS and NJ 211 referral services, and includes built-in reporting utilities to provide comprehensive management information specific to New Jersey. The project aspires to benefit New Jersey’s entire addiction treatment system by making possible an electronic health record (EHR) that will meet the unique documentation, reporting and billing needs of all of the State’s addiction treatment providers.

By spearheading the development, Turning Point hopes to make the Cx360 financially accessible to other treatment providers that could not otherwise afford to implement an EHR.

“We are excited to be working with a leader in the field of alcohol and drug addiction treatment in New Jersey,” said Ravi Ganesan, President of Core Solutions. “Turning Point is devoted to providing clients with the level of quality care that can only be achieved through innovative technology and Cx360 will be instrumental in helping achieve this objective.”

Dr. Manuel Guantez of Turning Point says, “Turning Point’s mission is to be a leader in the field of addiction treatment. We are living that mission through the Health Information Technology project. We are pleased to have been selected by SAMHSA to undertake such an important project, and look forward to working with Cx360 to make electronic health records available to New Jersey addiction treatment providers.

Cx360 Provider is a web based enterprise EHR Solution for Health and Human Services Agencies, and has been certified as a Complete EHR by the Certification Commission for Health Information Technology (CCHIT®), an ONC-ATCB.
