Indianapolis — Lilly for Better Health, a program of Lilly USA, LLC, that helps Americans live healthier, more active lives, has launched an enhanced multi-channel platform designed to reach patients where they like to receive health information.

The platform includes an array of patient education materials, Lilly programs and partnerships that help patients manage their health, a dynamic website—www.lillyforbetterhealth.com—and, coming soon, the Lilly Health Channel on YouTube.

A hub for quality health and wellness materials, the site provides practical tips on healthy eating, physical activity and stress management. It empowers patients with information on managing health conditions, such as diabetes, heart disease and depression.

Visitors will find more than a dozen interactive health and wellness quizzes, risk assessments and tools on topics such as body mass index, diabetes, cancer and mental illness. Lilly resources, including A Healthy You! America's Guide to Healthy Living, a sample walking program, a carbohydrate guide and many more, are offered in digital publication format, convenient for viewing and sharing.

Several resources are available in both English and Spanish, and new materials will be added regularly to maintain visitor engagement. Additionally, visitors may learn about Lilly's position on key health policy issues, as well as Lilly's Clinical Diversity Strategy and what the company is doing to increase minority representation in clinical trials.

The Lilly Health Channel will showcase a variety of videos on various topics, including health and wellness, Lilly programs and employee outreach.

"Lilly's work to improve patients' health and well-being goes beyond medicine," said Jack Harris, MD, Lilly's vice president of its U.S. medical division. "Managing your health and achieving a balanced lifestyle often means making changes to your daily life, and small steps can make a big difference. The resources and tools provided by Lilly for Better Health encourage patients to take those steps."

During the past five years, Lilly for Better Health has been a resource to health care providers, payer organizations and community groups across the country that share a passion and mission of helping individuals and communities live their healthiest lives.

Since that time, the effort has distributed more than a million patient education resources to individuals and organizations, particularly those with the greatest need. It is one of many examples demonstrating how Lilly is a partner in improving health outcomes and empowering patients and caregivers to effectively manage their care.
