The Joint Commission today announced the appointment of Tracy Griffin Collander, LCSW, as executive director of the Behavioral Health Care Accreditation program. In this role, Griffin Collander will lead the Behavioral Health Care Accreditation program’s operations, development and strategic planning, and will serve as The Joint Commission liaison to national behavioral health professional and provider organizations.

Griffin Collander has more than 21 years of experience in behavioral health care as both a clinician and an executive director focusing on residential, day treatment, therapeutic day schools, foster care, in-home and outpatient treatment programs. Most recently, Griffin Collander served as an executive director of the Gateway Foundation, where she directed a suburban Chicago program providing residential and outpatient treatment services for adults and youth with substance abuse and/or mental health disorders.
