Alanco Behavioral Health, Inc. (ABH) this week announced its intent to acquire Bella Monte Recovery in Desert Hot Springs, Calif.  The deal will be its first behavioral health acquisition—a platform purchase.

Bella Monte, which is CARF accredited and accepts commercial insurance, brings a 38 bed facility with a 2017 revenue forecast of $5 million to the portfolio. In August, Dave Johnson, president of ABH, told Behavioral Healthcare that the organization had a total of three behavioral health deals on drawing board at that time.

According to Johnson, by 2018 the residential treatment segment revenues are expected to grow to $29.6 billion with net profit margins of 15% to 25%.
