Columbus, Ohio, and Phoenix — Connect 4 Healthcare, LLC, a provider of healthcare communication solutions, will officially launch their newest service, Connect for Healthcare for Behavioral Health, at the National Association of Addiction Treatment Providers (NAATP), 2011 Conference on May 14 in Chandler, Ariz.
Having suffered the tragic loss of his son Chris to drug addiction, Craig Gordon, Director of Business Development for the company, learned firsthand the importance of communication between the treatment provider, referring clinician and family.
Determined that something good should come from his family’s tragedy, Gordon persuaded his partner, lifelong friend and Connect 4 Healthcare, LLC founder Neil Moore to bring the company's care-provider communication solution to the Behavioral Health Industry.
The introduction of the service into Behavioral Health follows the companies’ previous accomplishments in long-term care to give treatment providers a secure, structured and easy-to-use solution that allows them to deliver regular, proactive, patient-specific updates and important messages to authorized recipients no matter where they might be in the world.
On the introduction of the service to addiction treatment providers, Gordon said: "It’s all about communication. Speaking as a parent who lived through the process and lost a child to substance abuse, good outcomes require a team approach that includes the referring professional and the family. Regular, proactive communication from the treatment provider throughout the process is critical. It better prepares the referring professional for post-treatment management while it comforts, informs and empowers the family."
