Institute for the Advancement of Behavioral Healthcare Fund supports a wide variety of activities through our grants program as well as carefully selected projects identified by our board of experts.
Our areas of interest touch all aspects of addiction and behavioral healthcare services including treatment of substance-use disorders, process addictions, mental-health disorders, trauma and associated health conditions, as well as services for young adults and children-at-risk.
The Fund does not have a formal grant review calendar and is pleased to review proposals at any time. Grant proposals will be reviewed by the Institute’s Grant Review Board as they are received. Applicants may expect a response within 60 days.
We do not make grants to individuals, for-profit institutions, or political campaigns.
How to Submit a Grant Proposal
Complete the form below and upload your grant proposal and supporting documents. Please be sure that your proposal includes the following required information.
- ORGANIZATION INFORMATION
Include information on the potential grantee organization, including a brief history, general goals, accomplishments, Board membership and annual reports, if available.
- PROJECT SIGNIFICANCE
Provide background information on the specific problem or challenge addressed by the project and explain how the project will contribute to a solution or improvement. Be sure to highlight any unique facets or circumstances relating to the grant request.
Detail the specific objectives of the project, including how the project will improve behavioral healthcare and wellness.
Describe in detail how the project objectives will be achieved, including a timetable for completion.
Describe the proposed method for evaluating and measuring success of the project once it is completed and implemented, including what concrete and observable outcomes can be expected.
Provide a budget for the specific project, including specific line-items as relevant. List any funds available from other sources for the project.
- PLANS FOR CONTINUED SUPPORT
If the proposed project is expected to continue beyond the period for which the grant is requested, describe plans for continued support.
- TAX EXEMPT STATUS
Attach a copy of the potential grantee organization's most recent determination letter from the Internal Revenue Service indicating classification as a 501 (c) (3) organization.
