In every issue of Behavioral Healthcare, we focus on the design of care environments, inside and out, because we recognize that they're often an integral part of an individual's experience of treatment, healing, and recovery from a mental health or substance use disorder.

Now, through a new joint venture of Vendome Group, The Center for Health Design (CHD) and the Society for the Advancement of Gerontological Environments (SAGE), we invite you and your landscape architect/developer to highlight the landscape design at your site or facility by entering the new Landscape Architecture Awards for Healthcare Environments competition.

The competition includes categories for senior living, acute care, and behavioral health sites. If you'd like to learn more -- or use a competition like this one to demonstrate just how thoughtful and beautiful a healing landscape can be, we invite you to learn more. All the details for submitting your project are available on the award program page posted on the website of our sister publication, Healthcare Design.
